My mom is the one who introduced me to classical music. I think about her when I hear it.

This made me long for my years of symphony performance. 38 years terminated in 2018.

Tchaikovsky's 'Swan Lake' is one of the best ballets of all time ❤❤; and I love Svetlana Zacharova in 'Swan Lake' performing the variation and exit of 'Odette' at the end of Act 2 ❤❤. Thank you to @ Classic FM for sharing ❤😊.

He was in fact "accused" of being too "symphonic" and too "wagnerian" (because of the obvious use of leitmotifs in this ballet).

@@dantedante839Tchaikovsky brought ballet to new heights. No more, um pah, pah to accompany the dancers. Thank you, Tchaikovsky.

I thought so too..and having played this ballet...i can tell you its incredibly difficult solo to play within the orchestra and most conductors do tend get in the way because of whats scored in the strings.

I disagree. The oboe is to have a counter rhythm to the other instruments.

    Sorry guys...!!
This is quite sloppy - from the players.. not together, not in tune...
    Choir is better!!
Consolation here is.... probably the sound/mics team could have done a lot better....
